Anyone using Genesis? And does anyone know if we can switch our DB from Enterprise to Genesis?
Yardi disagrees but from Test Driving Genesis compared to using Enterprise for the past 4 month, Enterprise is crippled compared to Genesis. I don't see any feature difference between the two with the exception of SQL script integration however I wouldn't have had to go through what I did with an SQL script change if we had Genesis. I just don't want to loose my data. Any info on this would be appreciated. David |

Yardi can down-convert your data. I think they charge $500/database.
You get all your data, within the scope of what Genesis even contains. For example, it does not support purchase orders so of course they aren't converted. The sales guy can tell you what features you'd lose, so you can be sure if you want to make this switch. |

Thanks, Yardi told us that a while ago, we were pressed for time making the deciscion so we stuck with Enterprise, which has not been a bad program. The one feature we wanted that Genesis did was put up in an upgrade for Enterprise anyhow so that's a non-issue anymore.
Thanks, Ardhen |
